The opening panel compromises 6/7 speakers who have 10 min each on problematic in the world, what can we do together, concrete struggles. Ashish will talk about radical democracy. More precisely, Ashish will address:

  1. Fact that there are radical alternatives in the world now: kurdish, zapatista
  2. Need for global solidarity among these radical alternatives but also between resistance
  3. Mention global process

Then we could have the videos there or before but because it is recorded people can watch as late as they want. After the speakers, there will be videos for each speaker, some artistic, cultural etc… so it will take the whole hour. There will be breakout rooms for participants to interact. Rosy provided precision that there is no need for facilitation for that part.

Before leaving the meeting, Vasna observed that there are still plans for Community resilience in COVID times sessions on 29 Jan, tentatively at 10:00 UTC which was the suggestion from Tord and Marko. Vasna has registered for the session on the WSF site Christophe, Rafaella, Vasna, and Justin (?) will recommend community speakers to participate and share their experiences and participate in a panel discussion. Marta from GTA has kindly agreed to the lead in organizing and has scheduled a meeting for 22 Jan if anyone wants to join. marta.music@protonmail.com

Vasna has also registered the Global Assembly events for 30th so once each global processes organizations are registered, we would need to let her know so she can add them to the WSF page. vasna.ramasar@protonmail.com

Justin asked if there will be speakers talking about the ecological crisis. FRancine clarified that we could ask the speakers. Similarly, Mabrouka asked if there will be a speaker addressing alternative to police/policing since such grassroots, citizens-led initiatives have blossoms over the past years Justin suggested it could be included in the panel about facism. Ashish proposed to address the issue briefly.

Mabrouka to send Ashish a paragraph on the issues and examples of alternatives.
